The Full Story of How 5yrs Old Hanifa Abubakar was Kidnapped and Murdered by Her School Principal.
A 5-year-old girl identified was abducted by suspected kidnappers at 5pm, on Saturday, December 4.
The girl identified as Hanifa Abubakar, was taken by kidnappers who came in a commercial tricycle.
The incident occurred at Kawaji, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
“She Was Returning From Islamic School”
According to reports, she and other neighbourhood children were returning from an Islamic school on that fateful day.
Her uncle, Suraj Zubair who was recounting the event said the distance from her home to the Islamiyya school is not far so children normally trek to the school in groups on their own.

He said some of the children that were walking with her explained that the kidnappers offered to give them a free ride to their home.
After dropping them off, they then asked Hanifa to enter again for an extra ride and then zoomed off with her.
Later on, the kidnappers reached out to the family and demanded N6 million naira ransom.
“The Kidnappers Murdered Her Despite Collecting Ransom”
After 44 days after Hanifa’s abduction in Kano, it was discovered that the 5-year-old had been brutally murdered by her abductors.
According to reports, the kidnappers killed Hanifa despite collecting part of the N6m they demanded.
Her uncle, Suraj Suleiman, confirmed the killing and recovery of her remains at a mushroom private school in Tudunwada area of Kano.
According to Suleiman, the abductor first took her to his wife, but the wife refused to keep her. He then took her to Tudunwada where he operates a private school and then laced her tea with rat poison.
After she was poisoned to death, the kidnappers then cut her body into pieces and buried it within the school.
The abductors were arrested around Zaria Road in Kano presently while attempting to collect the second tranche of the ransom.
“Hanifa Was Abducted By A School Proprietor”
According to the police, the suspects have been identified as Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, 30, a school teacher, and Hashim Isyaku, 37.

The State Police Spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclosed that Tanko, the proprietor of a private school, poisoned the child to death on December 18, after she recognized him.
Tanko then conspired with one Hashim Isyaku, and buried her body in a shallow grave located at the private school premises in Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nassarawa LGA.
Hashim confessed that, sometime in the month of November 2021, the principal suspect, Abdulmalik met him and one Fatima Jibreel Musa, ‘f’, 27 years old, and ordered them to kidnap Hanifa. They plan but later rescinded their action. Fatima was also arrested.
The statement reads, “Sometimes on the 04/12/2021 at about 2030hrs, a report was received from a resident of Dakata Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State that, one Hanifa Abubakar, ‘f’, aged 5 years old, was kidnapped and a ransom of Six Million Naira (N6,000,000.00) was demanded,” the statement reads.
“Sustained efforts and prolonged follow – up led to the arrest of one Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, ‘m’, aged 30 years old, of Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nassarwa LGA, Kano State and one Hashim Isyaku, ‘m’, aged 37 years old, of same address by a detective team of the Department of State Service (DSS) Kano State.

“On investigation, Abdulmalik confessed that the victim, Hanifa was his student at a private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State. He kidnapped her and took her to his house where he contacted her relatives and demanded a ransom of Six Million Naira (N6,000,000.00).
“On the 18/12/2021, having realized that, the victim recognized him, he claimed to have poisoned her to death, conspired with one Hashim Isyaku, ‘m’, took and buried her in a shallow grave located at the private school premises located at Kwanar ‘Yan Gana, Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.
The body was exhumed and rushed to Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital Kano, examined, confirmed dead by a Medical Doctor, and released to the relatives for burial according to Islamic rites.
