United Arab Emirates Monday launched a multiple entry tourist visas regime valid for five years for all nationalities.
The ultimate goal of the new visa regime was to turn the Gulf state into a tourism hub ending the scheme where nationals of Africa, Russia, European countries outside the European Union as well as South America were issued single entry short stay visas.
The government, in a statement by Dubai Media Office, said: “#UAE Cabinet chaired by the UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approves new amendment for tourist visas in #UAE.
