US President Tump Impeached over Abuse of Power.

House of Representatives Impeaches US President Trump for Abuse of Power.

The President of the United States has been impeached over the abuse of power, obstruction of congress. The House of Representatives voted for the impeachment of Donald Trump on the for two articles of impeachment.

Although the Senate can still upturn the impeachment of Donald Trump, the House voted along with the power line and because the Democratic has the majority from the House of Representatives the impeachment was successful. All the eye will be focused on the Senate in January when they will debate the same two articles of impeachment.

According to My State News who monitored the voting pattern on CNN, Democrats charge that Trump abused his office by pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rivals ahead of the 2020 election while withholding a White House meeting and $400 million in US security aid from Kyiv.

And they say that Trump then obstructed the investigation into his misconduct with a blanket blockade of subpoenas and refusing to allow key senior officials to testify before Congress.

The House voted 230-197 to charge Trump with abuse of power and 229-198 to charge him with obstruction of Congress. The votes were largely split along party lines: just two Democrats voted against both articles, Reps. Collin Peterson of Minnesota and Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, who is expected to soon switch parties.

A third, Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, voted for one impeachment article. Republican-turned independent Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan voted to impeach Trump on both counts.
