P. P. Johnson, a female officer who had been kidnapped by a group of unknown assailants in Abia State, has been rescued by the Nigerian Army.

Johnson, a new lieutenant in the Nigerian Army, graduated from the army’s Direct Short Service Course on December 17 and was subsequently commissioned.

She was taken hostage at her residence in Ibube, which is where she had traveled to celebrate the holiday season.

The officer had her cl0th8s t@ken 0ff, and b0th her wr!sts and feet were t!ed beh!nd her b@ck as she sat on the ground inside the bush.

Because the officer was a member of the Nigerian Army, one of the kidnappers can be heard in a video that is circulating on social media threatening to k!ll the officer.

In addition to this, he cautioned young people against signing up to serve in the military or other security forces. He said that he would el!minate soldiers in the Nigerian army one at a time.

In a video that went viral on Thursday morning, her kidnappers threatened to abduct more people from the Southeast who are now serving in the military.

A military signal, on the other hand, has revealed that the lady has been rescued, and the person who was responsible for the kidnapping has been apprehended.

Lt. PP Johnson who was kidnapped by gunmen on 26 December 22nd and carried to a forest between Enugu State and Ihube in Okigwe LGA, Imo State was freed at arround 2pm on Dec 22nd.

The security forces have also succeeded in arresting the Mastermind behind the kidnapping and they are currently working to arrest the remaining members of the gang.

After the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the popular leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOP), there has been an increase in attacks against security agents, government buildings, and individuals in the South-East region.

Security operatives have blamed IPOB for the recent wave of violence in the geopolitical zone, despite IPOB denials.
