It is natural for human beings to doubt what they hear and even see most especially when it has to do with Heaven and Hell.
This is because the world is full of lies and many of them have been deceived several times. The leaders make promises they will never fulfill, business partners disappoint one another and even religious leaders disappoint their followers by their actions and inactions. Hence, it is easier for people to doubt than belief what they hear.
Secondly, the world is controlled by the force of darkness under the control of the Devil. He is known to be a liar and father of lies (John 8:44). For these reasons, human beings are more of doubters than believers. This doubting attitude extends to matters of faith. Some claim that there is no God and hell fire and heaven was not real. It is not reasonable to think of that. Some say it does not sound rational that a God that is said to be loving will send people to a place of eternal punishment (Hell fire), But what if it’s true that hell fire was real?
The Bible says of God that He can never lie and that He gave His only-begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life (John 3:16). And that “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.”
God is too big for the human mind to imagine and understand without divine assistance. Many who have tried to do this have ended in confusion such as evolution, idolatry, cults, and occultism. To understand God is to accept what He has said about Himself in the Holy Scripture.
God has made several promises to men in His word. He promised rest to all that are under the heavy load of sin. He said “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). He has promised rest from the oppression of the Devil and the kingdom of darkness. No man can deliver himself from sin excerpt by God’s intervention. He has promised those who believe eternal home in heaven where the streets are made of gold.
Jesus died on the cross to pay the price of the sin of mankind and when the Devil and his host of demons thought that they have done the worst, He rose from the death to give life to all who believe in Him. This atonement will only work for those who believe and accept that this sacrifice is done for him.
Friend, believe in Jesus today, and have everlasting life. If you say it is not true today, what if you die and find out that hell fire and heaven was real? And at that time it will be too late to repent.
You are a sinner by birth that is why you cannot tell who taught you how to sin; you are a sinner by practice because you sin by doing the things that are contrary to the will of God. Accept your helplessness and beg God to save you today and He will do so. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today and have eternal life. We shall meet in heaven if you do this.
