Why 2Face Was Arrested in London – Former Manager Opens Up (Videos).
A recent online video claiming to show music star Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia being arrested by police in London is real, according to a former manager who says he witnessed the event firsthand. This directly contradicts the singer’s earlier story that a medical issue was to blame.
The incident, which reportedly took place at London’s Gatwick Airport in October, has been a topic of whispers online for weeks. Kaka Igbokwe, a former manager to 2Baba and son of the late singer Christy Essien-Igbokwe, confirmed the details during an Instagram live chat on Monday.

According to Igbokwe, who was part of the singer’s tour team, trouble started right after the couple landed. He explained that 2Baba walked ahead with a group of fans, leaving his pregnant wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, feeling abandoned.
“When he realized she was left behind, he quickly ran back to her,” Igbokwe told host Daddy Freeze. But the effort to make amends did not work. Igbokwe claims Natasha was upset and an argument broke out between the couple.
The situation escalated to the point where airport police were called. Igbokwe stated that officers intervened, arrested 2Baba, and handcuffed him. “Everything you had about the couple’s face-off was true,” Igbokwe said.
This account throws a new light on events from early October, when 2Baba missed a scheduled concert in the UK. At the time, he released a video for his fans, apologising and saying a “medical emergency” was the reason he could not perform.

The story came back to life this week after blogger Tosin Silverdam shared clips online, saying they were new evidence of the airport arrest. One video appears to show officers talking with 2Baba outside a shop before walking out with him. Another clip seems to show the initial argument, with Silverdam suggesting Natasha was bothered by the attention her husband was getting from fans.
With a former insider now confirming the arrest story, public reaction has been mixed. While some fans express concern for the couple, especially with a baby on the way, others are focused on the difference between the initial explanation and this new account.
Representatives for 2Baba have not yet issued a new statement following Igbokwe’s public comments.
