A young girl was rescued today after a woman reported to be her stepmother tied her up and left her to die.
The incident attracted neighbours in their Agbarho residence in Delta State to rescue her.
An eyewitness privy to the child molestation wrote;
“Today, 8th March 2021, a woman have allegedly tied up her stepdaughter today leaving the child to die until neighbours came to her rescue at Okotie Compound, Oghara Road, Agbarho Delta State.”
This woman should first be tied the same way for 6 hours before facing justice.”
Recall there was also an earlier report on a lady identified as Maureen Eugene who took to social media to disclose that her elder sister poured boiling water on her sleeping niece.
The lady revealed that her elder sister poured boiling water on one of their sister’s daughters who lives with her.
She said the victim identified as Chinaza, aged 14, was sleeping at about 3 am when her elder sister – the child’s aunt – boiled water 4 times and poured it on the sleeping girl.
This incident left the girl with burns on her face, neck, chest, and shoulders.
In another news, an Uber Driver All Smiles After Court Sentenced Him To 3 Months In Prison Over $50 Fraud.
Justice M. A. Odegbola of the Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday, March 8, 2021, convicted and sentenced one Michael Tosin Lawal, a driver, to three-months in prison.
He was convicted after he pleaded guilty to an amended one-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense, preferred against him by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
“That you, Michael Tosin Lawal ‘M’ sometimes in the year 2020, in Ibadan, Oyo State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained Gift Cards from one Trevor, a white male by falsely representing to him that you are a white female by the name Cyndy Tyler from the United States of America, which pretence you knew to be false,” the lone charge read.
Following his plea, Justice Odegbola convicted and sentenced him to three months in prison. He also ordered the convict to restitute the sum of $50 (N19k) to his victim through the EFCC and forfeit items recovered from him to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
