Dark knuckles are embarrassing discolourations caused by changes in melanin- the substance that gives dark skin its colour. It is common in people who use harsh chemicals as part of their skincare ingredients.
Tackling dark knuckles can crush your confidence especially in cases where you can’t help it (at least not till now). Sometimes, it’s just a plain case of uneven skintone, dry skin, sun exposure or hot water, excessive washing and the list goes.
Skin diseases including psoriasis and eczema are also top causes of this embarrassing skin issue. The major reason dark knuckles are pronounced is leaving the area not moisturized, when you skip moisturizing the area it tends to get very dry and then lacklustre and eventually highly pigmented.
To get started to reduce pigmentation in this area, it’s best to always moisturize the area as part of your daily routine and at intervals. You can even get products targeted at this skin discolouration for fast results. By all means avoid using products with harsh ingredients instead look for ones with intensely moisturizing properties.
