Hope for Kidnapped NYSC Member Abba as New Video Confirms He’s Alive.

For days, the family of Abba, a corps member who was kidnapped weeks ago, had been mourning. After a long silence and no communication from those holding him, they made the difficult decision to conduct his last prayers, fearing the worst.

But in a fresh turn of events, a new video has surfaced confirming that Abba is still alive. The update was shared by social media activist D English Alhaji, who has been closely involved in the efforts to secure the corps member’s release.

In a video posted online, D English Alhaji explained that the initial hope of rescue was not lost, even after the family’s heartbreaking decision. According to him, after the first ransom payment of 10 million naira was made, the kidnappers came back with an additional request—two motorcycles. Moved by the situation, the family and other concerned Nigerians rallied together to raise funds to meet the new demand.

“So they took the two bikes to them,” D English Alhaji said in the video. “But then, the kidnappers came up with another story. They said their ‘oga’—their leader—was not aware of the two motorcycles. So now they are saying it’s three motorcycles they want, not two.”

The activist did not hide his frustration. He mentioned that just as he was about to give up, a man reached out to him privately and sent 1.3 million naira to cover the cost of the third bike.

“We just hope they release him alive after receiving this very last one,” he added.

Social media users who have been following the case have since praised the unknown benefactor and others who have contributed to the rescue mission. Many are holding on to hope that the latest effort will finally bring Abba home.

One user wrote, “May God bless the good samaritan,” reflecting the mood of many who have been waiting for a positive outcome.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or security agencies regarding the latest development. But for the family and the online community tracking the case, the confirmation that Abba is alive has brought a fresh wave of hope after days of despair.
