Nigerian Man Murders Wife in UK.
A Nigerian man, Abodunde David Olubunmi from Ekiti state, has shattered the lives of his wife and children after allegedly murdering his wife, Owoeye Taiwo Morenikeji, just months after they relocated to the United Kingdom.
The tragedy has left a void in the hearts of many, particularly the couple’s three young children who are now left motherless. Morenikeji, a dedicated nurse, had her entire future ahead of her in the UK, tragically cut short by the violence within her own family.

Reports reveal that Morenikeji had filed a restraining order against her husband, a desperate attempt to protect herself from his alleged abuse. However, Olubunmi, fueled by an unknown darkness, defied the legal boundaries and committed the murder.
The victim’s brother, bearing the unbearable weight of grief, took to Facebook to announce the news. His words, raw and drenched in sorrow, spoke of “the painful exit” of his sister, a nurse who had dedicated her life to caring for others, only to have her own life so brutally extinguished.

“This is to officially announce the painful exit of my sister, Nurse Owoeye Taiwo Morenikeji married to Abodunde David Olubunmi of Ipoti Ekiti” he said on Facebook

He revealed the agonizing reality of his sister’s children being placed in the care of UK social services, another cruel consequence of the senseless act. The ripple effect of this tragedy extends far beyond the immediate family, impacting parents, siblings, and the wider community, all left to grapple with the loss and the agonizing questions it leaves behind.
The Facebook post also hinted at the immense burden the victim’s mother bears, another soul forced to confront the unimaginable loss of a child. The family, once whole and brimming with hope for a new life in the UK, now faces a future fractured and shrouded in darkness.

Morenikeji’s story is a call to action, urging us to break the silence surrounding domestic abuse and offer support to those trapped in its grip.
It’s a plea to remember her not just as a victim, but as a loving mother, a dedicated nurse, and a woman whose life was tragically cut short.
We hope the murderer will be given the right justice accordingly.
