President Muhammadu Buhari has taken to his Facebook page to express how thrilled he is on the occasion of his 79th Birthday.

The president who left for Turkey on Thursday for a submit said he thought that being away from Abuja will make him escape a celebration for his birthday, but the reverse became the case.

He noted that after his tenure, he looks forward to going home to take charge of his farm.

Buhari wrote, ” I had thought that being away from Abuja, I will escape a celebration. The Guards Brigade had written to tell me what they wanted to do on this day. Now here we, far away in Turkey, and I still didn’t escape.

” I look forward to 2023 when I finish my tenure, to go home to take charge of my farm. Between now and that time, I will do the best that is possible to advance the interest of the nation and its people, and carry out my duties as prescribed by the Constitution.

Reacting to Buhari’ s statement, @Bello Ibrahim said, ” We can’ t wait for 2023. May 29, 2023, will certainly be another day of independence for Nigerians.

” The shackles of poverty, insecurity, cronyism, chauvinism and cluelessness will be broken on that day.

” I can’ t wish you a happy birthday, not with the precarious state of Nigeria in all ramifications. “
