Police Release Possible Cause of Death of Mohbad.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has disclosed that late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, died after being injected three times by a nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, on September 12, 2023.

The CP made the disclosure at a press briefing on Friday at the state Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos. He was giving preliminary reports of an investigation conducted by the police team to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Mohbad.

According to the CP, the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, who was invited by Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, aka Spending, to inject the singer at his residence, administered three injections believed to have led to the chain of reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.

“Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after the injections,” Owohunwa said.

Recall that MohBad died after being treated for an ear infection. Reports have it that the nurse gave the singer an anti-tetanus injection after the singer was reportedly beaten in Lagos. He was said to have sustained injuries following the beating, leading him to seek the services of a nurse at home.

Investigation Ongoing

The CP said the investigation is still ongoing and that more details will be released when available. He also urged the public to be patient and cooperate with the police investigation.

Warning

The CP also warned against the use of unqualified medical personnel, especially for the administration of injections. He advised the public to always seek medical attention from qualified medical practitioners.
