Six now in court for murder of e-hailing driver Isaac Satlat in Pretoria – reports says three more arrests has been made.
Pretoria – The case surrounding the murder of 22-year-old e-hailing driver Isaac Satlat has grown, with three new suspects now in custody. This brings the total number of people accused in the killing to six.
The three latest suspects appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. They have been identified as Tumishang Mogau Mabutla (23), Ofentse Senwamadi (18), and Thabang Kenneth Mothwa (27).
Each faces different charges. Mabutla is facing charges of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances. Senwamadi is charged as an accessory after the fact for both the premeditated murder and the robbery. Mothwa is facing a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances.

These three join the first set of accused people in the case: Dikeledi Tears Mphela, Goitsione Machidi, and McClaren Mushwana. Those three had already appeared in court and chose to give up their right to apply for bail.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), all six are believed to have worked together in the attack on Satlat. The incident happened on February 11, 2026, when Satlat picked up passengers while working as a Bolt driver in Pretoria West.

Details shared in court suggest that after the group allegedly hijacked and killed Satlat, they got rid of his body. They then reportedly handed his vehicle over to Mothwa, who is accused of trying to remove the tracking device from the car to stop it from being found.
The case has been moved to February 23. The court wants all six accused people to appear together on that date. The postponement also gives the sixth accused person time to find a lawyer.

The news of more arrests has brought some relief, but it has also opened up more questions. People are asking how this could have happened and what can be done to stop it from happening again.
One issue that has come up since the murder is whether the driver was using his own registered Bolt account at the time of the incident. Sources say he may not have been. This has led to calls for e-hailing companies to look again at how they check who is driving and whether sharing accounts should be stopped completely.

For many, the case of Isaac Satlat shows the risks drivers take every day. People are now asking what more can be done. Should e-hailing companies make their systems tighter? Do drivers need more protection from the law? These are questions that many want answers to as the court case continues.
The six suspects remain in custody and will be back in court later this month.
