Sporty Bet Adder App Real Facts and How Scammers Use It to Defraud Victims on Betting Sites

Sporty Bet is one of the well-known and widely used sport betting platforms in Africa and many users of the platform have hit jackpots in millions.

However there has been an increase reports from users of the platform on how accounts have been hijacked and funds transferred. This article will expose some tricks scammers use to defraud victims.

In several occasions, users of Sporty Bet platforms have complained to banks on how their money were withdrawn from without their consent, and in most cases the banks cannot do anything about it because the victim gave these scammers a backdoor to their account without knowing.

How did this happen? You’ll find out in the next paragraphs.

One of the ways scammers get information about your account details is through an app called ‘Sporty Bet Adder’. Now this app is meant to multiply the funds in your sporty bet account, at least that’s what the scammer will tell you. Well, that’s a big fat lie; it’s just a way they use to lure you to giving them your account details.

Here’s how they operate

They will add you to a group without your consent and the group is usually a closed group which means you cannot comment in the group, except the admins.

In that group they’ll send several messages and tutorials on how the app works and all that.

If they see that you are not responding by inquiring more about the App from an admin, they will send you a message in this format:

AM DAVID MARK BY NAME YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ME I SAW YOUR CONTACT ON A GROUP CHAT SO I DECIDED TO MESSAGE ABOUT THE UPDATE

What’s up man are you using a smart phone and can u keep secret I will like to carry u along how u can get some money but promise to pay me 30% after first cash out

Immediately they send you this message, they’ll send you videos of how the app works and testimonial videos of people that have used the App. This is just another trick to convince you to buy into their scam.

Once they buy your attention into their scam, they’ll give you information on how the app works and ask you to buy the App and login. Some sell the App for N5,000 and the login for N15,000.

How they Claim the App Works Which is a Big Scam

First you have to fund you Sporty Bet Account with a minimum of N1,000, then login into the Sporty Bet Adder App, fill in all your information, then select the amount you want to multiply. If you have an account balance of N1,000 on your Sporty Bet Account, it will multiply to N100,000 automatically.

Here’s the calculation of how much the app will multiply depending on your Sporty Bet Account balance:

N1,000 will Multiply to N100,000.00

N2,000 will Multiply to N,200,000.00

N5,000 will Multiply to N5,000,000.00

This is a big lie, come to think of it, why would they want to sell you this app if it actually works?

Wouldn’t they just use it to make money for themselves and loved ones? The fact is that if this app really exist or is working no one will want to share it with a friend, talk more of selling it to the public.

Here is some of the information they will ask you to fill in the Sporty Bet App:

Your Full Name

The Number you use in registering your Sporty Bet Account

You Sporty Bet Secret Number

Email Address

In the app there will be option for you to select how much you want to multiply, most victims on seeing that you can multiply N5,000.00 to get N500,000.00  will quickly add more money to their Sporty Bet Account so they can multiply it to N500K.

Once you finished filling this information and send it, you have just sent these scammers your login details to your Sporty Bet Account. They now have access to your account.

They will tell you to immediately log out of your Sporty Bet Account, wait for 30 minutes before you login again to cash out your multiplied funds.

This are all tricks, once they have your details, you’ve been hacked.

How do they get into your bank Account?

Many victims who use Sporty Bet usually add their bank account details, so when these scammers get access into your Sporty Bet Account they will change your password, and secret key, before they start causing havoc to your bank account.

First, they will withdraw all funds in your Sporty Bet Account.

Then they will copy out your account number, and if the phone number you use in registering the Sporty Bet Account is the same with the Phone number on your bank account, they will hack into your bank account and transfer your funds.

Usually they cannot withdraw the funds directly so the bank don’t trace them, so what they’ll do is use the money to by items online and ship it to an anonymous location.

How is this App Built?

This app is built using one of the many ‘form builders applications’ which allows victims to input their details and submit them. Nothing more, it’s just a form that collects your details, it will never double any money for you.

What other things do they get from you?

They get your phone number and email address which they can sell to online marketers. So when you see unsolicited messages on your phone and email just know your detail has been sold to marketers.

Be warned many have been scammed and many will still fall victim.
