The Evil Man Behind The Killings Of Oyo State Farmers Was Finally Arrested.

For the past eighteen years, residents and farmers in Ayete, Ibarapa area council, Oyo state, have lived in constant fear of Iskilu Wakilu, a notorious Fulani warlord who kills farmers and innocent citizens.

When Seriki Fulani was evicted from Igangan, also in Ibarapa, a few weeks ago, the farmers in the region thought they’d seen it all, and that Seriki’s eviction would bring an end to years of Fulani persecution in the area, but Wakili grew in vigour.

He gives a stern warning to Ibarapa residents as he labeled his illegally gained living territories and farmlands with red clothes symbolizing danger and a no-cross zone. Wakili and his guards once opened fire on a boy who had crossed the red flag.

The good news is that, according to a video released online, Iskilu Wakilu’ s second- in- command was intercepted on Friday by a joint operation of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Ago Rangers Civil Defense, and will be handed over to the police.

The party, led by Gani Adams, apprehended four kidnappers, including Wakilu Ishiaq Mohammed, the kingpin second- in-command.

Mohammed, who is said to be in charge of the group’s arms, guns, and other weaponry, was apprehended at 1: 00 p. m. on Friday while OPC and Civil Defence teams were searching for their leader. Since recolonizing the region after forcibly evicting the true landowners several years ago, Fulani warlord Iskilu Wakilu has been a thorn in the flesh of the farmers, villagers, and communities.

The four suspects, who are currently at the Ago Rangers Civil Defence Headquarters in Igbo- Ora, will be handed over to the police for further investigation and trial, according to a spokesman of the security operatives unit.
