The Sad Story of Tunde Thomas, Who Died After Learning His Wife’s Boss Was the Father of His Children.
Kindly not this story is a throwback from events that happened from 2017 to 2020.
For Tunde Thomas, known to friends as Tunde Gentle, his family was his pride. A devoted husband and father, he worked tirelessly to give his wife, Moyo, and their two children a life of comfort. Family trips to London and Dubai, the best schools for the kids—Tunde provided it all, finding joy in their happiness.
What he did not know was a secret that would eventually break him.

According to multiple reports from friends and Nigerian media, Moyo Thomas was involved in a long-term relationship with her supervisor at work, Adam Nuru of First City Monument Bank (FCMB). Many of their colleagues were said to be aware of the situation. Tunde, however, remained completely in the dark, continuing his life as a caring father.
The unraveling began when Moyo suddenly left her job at the bank. Soon after, she traveled to the United States with the children, telling Tunde it was a short holiday. But as the new school term started back home in Nigeria and his children did not return, Tunde grew anxious.
When he pressed for answers, the truth he received was catastrophic. Moyo reportedly told him he was not the biological father of the two children he had loved and raised for years. Friends say the children were fathered by her former boss.
“He was a shell of himself after that,” one close friend shared. “The man we knew was gone. He had built his entire life around them.”

In a further twist, Moyo later sought asylum in the U.S., citing domestic abuse. People who knew the couple have strongly rejected these claims, describing Tunde as a gentle man who was never known for violence. Some believe the legal move was a strategy to secure permanent residency and avoid any potential legal dispute with Tunde.
The emotional damage from the paternity confession was deep and physical. In 2017, Tunde suffered a stroke. While he recovered medically, friends insist he never healed from the betrayal. He struggled to piece his life back together.

In time, he found the courage to start a new relationship. There was hope again; he was making plans to formally introduce his new partner to her family. But the past had left a lasting wound.

Before those plans could be realized, Tunde Thomas passed away in December 2020 at the age of 45. While no official cause has been publicly detailed, those closest to him have no doubt about what led to his decline.
“He died of a broken heart,” his friend stated simply. “Some pain is just too heavy to carry.”
The story, which circulated widely in Nigeria, sparked intense conversation about infidelity, paternity, and the silent scars of emotional trauma. It serves as a reminder of the fragile trust upon which families are built and the devastating cost when that trust is destroyed.
Tunde Thomas is remembered by friends as a generous man who loved deeply, and whose life was tragically cut short by a betrayal he never saw coming.
