Tinubu Becomes New ECOWAS Chairman in Landmark Decision.
President Bola Tinubu has been chosen as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
As the Chairman, Tinubu will have an important role in leading the member states of ECOWAS toward economic development, political stability, and cooperation.
This decision was made during the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, on Sunday.
He will work closely with member states, regional institutions, and international partners to implement initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth, regional trade integration, and social development.
One of his main tasks will be to strengthen ECOWAS’ collective response to security threats and encourage closer cooperation among member states in addressing regional challenges.
