UPDATE: Three Students Involved in Le@ked $$$ T@pe of Kwadaso Nursing & Midwifery Training College Receive Serious Punishment.
The recent controversy surrounding a lea@ked $$$ tape involving three students from Kwadaso SDA Nursing & Midwifery Training College in Kumasi, Ghana has resulted in serious consequences for those involved.
According to reports, the management of Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ashanti Region has handed down a one-year suspension to the three students involved in the le@ked video.
These students, all in their first year, were asked to leave the institution for a year as punishment after confessing to the offense during a meeting with the school’s discipline committee.
In an interview on the morning show “Nyansapo” on Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM, the school’s public relations officer, Williams Adinkra, clarified that the scandalous video did not occur on campus but rather outside the school premises.
He stated, “We met the three students immediately after the video surfaced online, and they admitted the offense. The first two students engaged in the ill!c!t act and recorded it while on vacation.” Adinkra also revealed that the third person, who allegedly released the video, downloaded it from the girl’s phone and later demanded GHC 5,000 from her.
“The video was subsequently rele@sed when the girl failed to provide the demanded amount,” Adinkra explained, “and later went viral on social media.” He further added, “While all three students are serving a one-year suspension, the one responsible for rele@sing the video will face additional consequences upon their return.”
The incident began when a male student, acting as a blackmailer, le@ked a recorded $$xual encounter involving two first-year students from Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College. The video, which was recorded off-campus, was le@ked after the woman in the video handed her phone to a coworker for repairs.
After copying the video from the phone, the blackmailer demanded a sum of GHC 5,000 from the female student and threatened to relea@se the video if she did not comply. Due to her inability to meet the financial demand, the blackmailer strategically released the tape on Wednesday, June 23, 2023, at precisely 6:30 p.m.
The incident has sparked a heated debate and raised concerns about privacy, trust, and the consequences of such actions. The punishment meted out by the school administration serves as a warning to students regarding the severe consequences of engaging in inappropriate activities and the misuse of technology.
