VIDEO: “I Don’t Want My Legs To Be Cut Off”- Mr Ibu Cries From Hospital Bed as His Health Deteriorates
Popular Nigerian actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has taken to social media to cry out for help from Nigerians as his health condition deteriorates.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, October 19, 2023, Mr Ibu is seen lying on a hospital bed, looking frail and weak. In the video, he pleads with Nigerians to come to his aid, saying that he doesn’t want his legs to be cut off.
“I don’t want my legs to be cut off,” he says in the video. “That’s the option the doctors gave me.”
His daughter, Jasmine, a Nollywood actress, and his wife are also seen in the video, calling for help from Nigerians to assist in flying the actor out of the country for better medical attention.
The video has attracted reactions from netizens who took to the comment section to air their views. Some netizens expressed their sympathy for Mr Ibu and prayed for his quick recovery, while others called on the Nigerian government and the entertainment industry to come to his aid.
Mr Ibu is one of Nigeria’s most popular comic actors, known for his roles in films such as “Mr. Ibu,” “Aki na Ukwa,” and “Police Recruit.” He is also a successful businessman, with interests in real estate, hospitality, and transportation.
