The FBI stressed that the investigation is still active and ongoing, urging anyone with information to submit photos or videos online.

During the rally, Crooks shot at Trump, the Republican candidate for the November 5, 2024, presidential election. Secret Service agents quickly intervened, evacuating Trump from the stage and into an SUV.

The incident resulted in the deaths of the shooter and a bystander, while two spectators were critically injured.

According to AFP, the Secret Service reported that Crooks fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside the rally before being neutralized by agents.

Trump later described the frightening moment, saying, “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”

Kevin Rojek, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, disclosed that Crooks had no identification on him at the scene. Agents had to “run his DNA and get biometric confirmation,” CNN reported.
