Again Hushpuppi’s Sentencing Postponed, See Details Here.
The sentencing of popular Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi has been postponed again.
Judge Otis Wright of a United States Central District Court in California has set a new date of September 21 for Hushpuppi’s sentencing.
“At the request of counsel, the Sentencing is CONTINUED to 9/21/2022 at 1:30 PM before Judge Otis D. Wright II, as to Defendant Ramon Olorunwa Abbas,” the court said.

In April 2021, Hushpuppi pled guilty to the multi-million-dollar fraud charges filed against him by the United States government.
According to documents from his plea agreement, the former Instagram big boy was involved in several fraudulent schemes that amounted to over $24 million in losses on the part of his victims.

Hushpuppi was arrested back in June 2020 alongside his associates at their residence in Dubai. They were arrested on allegations of fraud by the Dubai Police in an operation tagged “Fox Hunt 2”.
Hushpuppi is alleged to have defrauded over 1.9 million people’s monies amounting to $432.6 million (168 billion).

On July 2, he was then sent to the FBI in the United States of America by means of extradition.
According to the FBI, an amount totalling almost $41 million in cash was confiscated during the arrest. The 39-year-old was also in possession of luxury vehicles amounting to the tune of $6.8 million, all of which were also seized by the US agency.
