Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church has revealed what he would do if war breaks out in Nigeria. The Bishop spoke during prayers for the nation in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.

He stated that he would be the last person to leave should a war break out. The Bishop, however, assured Nigerians that Nigeria would not be destroyed due to the presence of believers.

The clergyman issued a note of warning that God would flush out those who love war in Nigeria. Bishop Oyedepo said: “There shall not be war in Nigeria. For those who love war, God will flush them out.

IPOB alleged that it had learnt that there was a plan by the Government not to bring Kanu to court on that day as a ploy to continue to detain him.

The statement read in part: “Following our earlier declaration of one-month lockdown of Biafra land should the Nigeria Government fail to bring our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to the court on October 21, we, the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra request our brothers and sisters in Oduduwa republic and Middle Belt, including Igbo and Biafra businessmen and women, traders who are doing business outside Biafra land, to shut down their businesses to demonstrate our resolve for the emergence of our new nation, Biafra, and support for our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and others who are facing a similar fate with us to join us in sympathy protest.

Reacting, Igbokwe urged the Senator to be truthful in his comments on the ongoing killings in the region.

In a Facebook post, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, noted that Senator Abaribe knows that members of the proscribed IPOB are responsible for bloodshed in the South-East region.

“Senator Abaribe please take notice that I am from the Southeast and I am also a critical stakeholder in the region and Nigeria.

“You know it and I know it also that IPOB is responsible for the bloodshed in the Southeast.

“This is the truth and nothing but the truth. Let us for once fear God and speak the truth so as to put the enemies to shame,” Igbokwe wrote.

Meanwhile, the secessionist group IPOB has continued to insist that it has no hand in the violence affecting the South-East.
