The City Boy Movement is officially making its way to the South-East, and celebrity barman Cubana Chiefpriest is leading the charge. The popular socialite has taken his campaign for President Bola Tinubu directly to the youth of Imo State, setting off a wave of reactions both online and offline.
Chiefpriest arrived in Owerri in grand style, flying into Sam Mbakwe Airport before heading straight to his luxury glass house in the city. From there, he made his intentions clear: he is throwing his weight behind President Tinubu and bringing the youth along with him.
In a series of posts that got people talking, Chiefpriest shared updates about the movement. According to him, Owerri is set to host a major two-day event next month. The gathering will bring together Seyi Tinubu, who serves as the National Patron of the movement, along with the national body of the City Boy Movement. It is expected to be a show of force for the president’s support base in the region.
“My phone is super buzzing—everybody wants to be with us in this winner’s circle,” Chiefpriest said. He made it clear that the movement is growing fast and that the city is more than ready to welcome the political heavyweights.
While the campaign is gaining traction among some supporters, it has also sparked a heated debate online. Many people from the South-East feel that as someone from the region, Cubana Chiefpriest should be backing former governor Peter Obi instead of President Tinubu.
