There’s a picture going around on social media of Kanu Nwankwo, the famous Nigerian footballer, working as a bus conductor. You might remember him as Papillo, the guy who played really well for Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles.
Fondly known as Papillo, Kanu Nwankwo was a talented forward who showcased his skills on both national and international stages. He was an integral part of the Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles, leading them to various triumphs and glory. In addition to his impressive international career, Kanu played for several renowned clubs, including Iwuanyanwu Nationale and the Dutch side Ajax. He later made his mark in Italy’s Inter Milan and further carved a legacy in English football, notably with Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion, and Portsmouth.
He’s been running a Football Academy in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, where he helps young players get better at football. Recently, he was seen taking his Academy students to their training in a bus, and he decided to be the conductor for them, making their trip more fun.
It’s not just football that Kanu cares about. He also started a heart foundation to help people in need, showing that he has a big heart off the field too.
