
Gunmen Invade Senator Natasha’s Home in Midnight Attack, Political Link Suspected.
In a brazen midnight assault, armed men stormed the family home of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, sparking fears of escalating political violence in the region.
The attack, which occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, saw at least three assailants armed with cutlasses and firearms vandalizing parts of the senator’s residence, including window panes. The attackers fled before security operatives from the Okehi Police Division arrived at the scene following a distress call.

According to the senator’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Yakubu Ovanja, the incident has been officially reported to authorities. While no casualties were recorded and no arrests have been made, police have launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, has been a vocal critic of powerful political figures, particularly in her ongoing feud with Senate President Godswill Akpabio over alleged sexual misconduct claims. Though she has yet to comment publicly on the attack, sources close to her suggest the assault may be politically motivated, given her recent high-profile confrontations.
