“I regret I was born in Nigeria, I am never coming to that country again” – Bobrisky.
Popular crossdresser and social media personality Idris Olarenwaju, known famously as Bobrisky, has voiced his deep frustration with the state of security in Nigeria, stating that he has no plans to ever return to the country.
In a series of posts online, Bobrisky, who recently left Nigeria following his arrest and release over naira abuse charges, did not hold back his feelings. He described insecurity as a “trade” in Nigeria, claiming that too many people are benefiting from the current situation to want it to stop.
His main point of confusion? The fact that armed men, often referred to as bandits, are openly celebrating their crimes on the internet without facing any consequences.

“It is only in Nigeria that Bandits will collect ransom and still post their faces and the cash online,” he wrote. He argued that these criminals act freely because they know the government cannot touch them. He contrasted this with the actions of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“The EFCC will not see those ones and go after them, but will go after people spraying money in a party,” he said, referring to the very charge that led to his own recent legal troubles.
Bobrisky did not stop at the issue of banditry. He also drew a comparison between Nigeria and the international community’s response to global crises.
He pointed to the recent tensions between the United States and Iran, noting how other countries quickly sent planes to evacuate their citizens from the danger zone.
“See the war happening between The US and Iran, other countries are sending planes to evacuate their citizens. Where is Nigeria’s aircraft?” he asked.
Ending his emotional outburst, the crossdresser expressed a deep sense of regret about his nationality and made it clear he is cutting ties with the country.

His comments have since sparked a wide range of reactions online, with some agreeing with his observations about the country’s security challenges, while others questioned his own history with the law. As of now, there has been no official response from government agencies regarding his claims.
