Enugu State is where ” Jay- Jay” Okocha was born. His parents lived in Osun State, Nigeria, in Iwo Local Government Area of the State. Jay-Jay was named after his older brother James, who was the first in his family to play football; his younger brother, Emmanuel, was also named Emma Jay-Jay, but the name stuck with Okocha instead. He began his football career on the streets, like many other football stars, with an improvised ball.

He added in an interview with BBC Sport, ” As far as I recall, we used to play with whatever round object we could find, and if we were lucky enough to find a ball, that was a bonus! I mean, it was incredible! ” He joined the Enugu Rangers in 1990.
During his stint with the club, he put up a number of impressive performances, including one in which he rounded off and scored a goal against veteran Nigerian goalkeeper Willy Okpara in a match against BCC Lions.
He traveled on vacation to West Germany later that year, the country that had just won the 1990 FIFA World Cup, to watch German Bundesliga football.

Binebi Numa, a friend of Okocha’s, was playing for Borussia Neunkirchen in the Third Division, and one-morning Okocha accompanied Numa to training and begged to join in. Okocha’s abilities impressed the Neunkirchen coach, who asked him back the next day before offering him a contract.
He joined 1. FC Saarbrücken a year later, but only stayed with the 2. Bundesliga club for a few months before joining Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1. Bundesliga.
Even though Jay-Jay Okocha is no longer active, his influence and legacy live on. He was recognized as one of the finest African players of all time with Pele even placing him among the top 125 living football players in history.
Aside from his stellar profession, Jay-Jay Okocha is married with two children who are the focus of this celebrity gist.
He has been married to his lovely wife Nkechi for over 20 years and they both have two lovely children Ajay and Danielle.
Danielle Okocha is a Nigerian actress.
Okocha’s frost child Danielle was born on June 24th, 1998. She is 23 years old and has already obtained a degree at an English institution.
Danielle is popular on social media with many followers and she is based in the United Kingdom.
Ajay and his father have a stocking resemblance and like his senior sister, he is also based in England.
Ajay is not yet a professional player like his father, but he has trained with various clubs around Europe, which makes many believe he will one day become a professional player like his father.
