South African Gospel Singer Fatally Shot Dead by Her Husband During Church Service.

Renowned South African gospel singer, Funanani Mbedzi, tragically lost her life during a church service in Makonde Shadani village, outside Thohoyandou.

The incident occurred when her husband entered the church around 6 pm and fatally shot her multiple times while she was leading the congregation.

According to the South African Police, the gospel singer who was leading the congregation was shot dead by her husband who entered the Church located in Makonde Shadani village, outside Thohoyandou, around 6 pm while service was going on

Following the heinous act, the perpetrator fled the scene.

Although the motive behind the attack remains unclear, authorities suspect domestic violence is a potential cause.

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, spokesperson for the South African Police, stated that the singer’s husband surrendered to authorities two days after the incident.
