US-based Nigerian Professor Uju Anya recently announced her engagement to her partner Sirry Alang on social media. The couple shared the news with friends and family which has now become a debate on social media.
Though Uju is currently based in the US, her ancestral home and Country Nigeria frowns at same $$x relations and marriage.
Uju mentioned that Sirry surprised her with a proposal during what she thought was just a party. The event was attended by close friends and their children, creating a memorable and loving atmosphere.

‘’Y’all. She said we were going to Summer Lee’s party. I arrived to pick her up and had the most delicious shock. She colluded with folks, people flew in, and we were surrounded by love. In front of our children and dear friends, Sirry Alang asked me to be her wife. And I said yes.” she said.
