Yusuf warns of a big protest if Tinubu doesn’t tell who is supporting the kidnappers.
In a compelling interview on Channels Television, Yunusa Yusuf, the convener of Kagarko Local Government Area (L.G.A) youths in Kaduna, passionately addressed the escalating insecurity gripping communities in Abuja.
Expressing deep concern for the prevailing kidnapping menace, Mr. Yusuf called on the President to take decisive action and reveal the identities of those orchestrating these criminal activities, including exposing the sponsors believed to be providing support to the kidnappers.
During the interview, Mr. Yusuf emphasized the urgency of revealing the individuals behind the kidnapping epidemic and exposing the network of backers supporting these criminal elements. He explained the gravity of the situation, revealing that “All the chairmen in the border communities, they are no more living in their communities. All of them have left their localities due to insecurity, so the government is not telling us the truth.”
Mr. Yusuf’s plea for transparency and accountability resonated with many Nigerians who share his concerns about the deteriorating security situation. He highlighted the gravity of the issue by pointing out that even local leaders were forced to abandon their communities due to the escalating insecurity, raising questions about the effectiveness of the government’s response.
In a warning, Mr. Yusuf hinted at the possibility of organizing future protests if concrete actions are not taken promptly. He stated, “The next protest I will lead will shock everybody because if the president cannot name the kidnappers and the sponsors, it means he has not lived up to the expectations of the Nigerians who voted for him.”
This threat of a nationwide protest shows the frustration and impatience felt by many citizens demanding accountability and swift action to address the escalating security challenges.
