An undergraduate student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo popularly known as Ajibade was gun down by suspected cultists in front of the Polytechnic main gate.

Ajibade was reported killed around 6pm when he went out to buy an eggroll just opposite the school main gate, which resulted to serious chaos as students and occupants of the area ran and took cover for safety.

It was gathered that before his demise, Ajibade had been an ND1 student of the Federal Polytechnic.

A source, who spoke to newsmen on state of obscurity, said the explanation behind the killing was unknown, and it was the third incident in the space of a month.

The source said;

“This is the manner by which they execute themselves here in Owo is quite alarming; we don’t really know what he did, perhaps he was also a cult member, or they used his killing to make an impression or send a message, no one really knows.

They killed him while he was buying eggroll outside the school gate around a place called Orita, and it’s not up to two months that two other students were also killed in the same manner.”

Affirming the sad event, the Police Public Relations Officer for Ondo state, Femi Joseph, said some few suspects had been arrested.”
