Husband of Onitsha Woman Accused of Abusing Daughter Breaks Silence: “She Told Me It Was AI.”

The husband of the Onitsha woman arrested for allegedly $$exu@lly abusing their underage daughter and streaming it online for money has finally spoken out, sharing how he found out about the whole thing.

Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi said he was completely in the dark about what his wife, Anulika Onyeanusia, was allegedly doing to their children. In a video shared on Saturday by the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, he explained that he only learned about the abuse when a friend showed him the now-viral footage.

According to him, he was on his way back from his business on Thursday evening when the friend called him and asked him to watch something. What he saw next left him shaken.

“I saw the video. It was my wife, and I saw my daughter. She was molesting the child,” he recounted. “I got confused. What is this? What is happening? Could this be true?”

He said he wanted to walk away immediately, but his friend held him back and told him to stay calm.

When he got home, Onyeanyusi confronted his wife about the video. She denied everything and told him the video was not real. According to him, she claimed it was generated using artificial intelligence.

“I came to her and asked her, ‘What exactly is this that I saw on the internet?’ She said no, that it wasn’t true,” he said. “I told her, ‘I saw you! I saw your video! I saw everything, and you are telling me it’s not true?’ And she said it was AI.”

He said he even went back to his friend to ask whether such a video could actually be faked with AI.

Shortly after, police officers arrived at their home. They searched the premises and arrested his wife. Onyeanyusi said he was also taken to the station.

It was at the police station, he said, that his wife finally admitted to what she had done. He recalled that the Divisional Police Officer asked him if he knew what his wife had been doing with their daughters. He said no.

Then the DPO turned to his wife and asked if her husband knew. She also said no, telling the police he was not aware.

“That is when I turned to her and asked her, ‘Did you do this, really?’ And she said yes,” he recounted.

Hearing that admission, Onyeanyusi said, broke him.

“I got weak. I got tired. How can you do this kind of thing? I just sat down in the police office. I couldn’t even think straight. I was just asking myself, ‘What is this? What has happened to me?'”

The couple lives in Onitsha, where police recovered $$x toys and other items tied to the investigation.

The Anambra State Police Command had earlier announced the arrest of the 36-year-old woman on September 10 after a video surfaced online showing her allegedly using sex toys on a minor. During the operation, four children aged two, three, six, and nine were rescued from the home.

In a separate video of her interrogation that has been circulating, Onyeanusia reportedly told investigators that she uploaded content involving her daughter to a p0!rn site for money. She claimed the highest amount she ever made was $300. She also blamed the devil for her actions and begged for forgiveness, saying her husband knew nothing about it.

Onyeanyusi said he decided to speak publicly because he wanted people to know how he found out and to clear his name.

“I am totally disappointed in my wife. I never believed she could do this kind of thing, even to her own daughter. To my own daughter. I never believed it,” he said.

The police said the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue. They are also looking into whether anyone else was involved.

This is a developing story. More updates will follow as authorities release additional information.
