Recall that many residents including a school teacher and eleven members of a family were reportedly killed when Boko Haram terrorists invaded Geidam town on Friday evening, April 23. 

A woman, who survived the recent Boko Haram attacks in Geidam town, Yobe State, has narrated how she watched her sister die.

The woman told BBC Hausa that an artillery which was thrown into her room exploded and claimed her sister’s life. She said the deceased left behind a daughter who is few months old.

“We heard her crying for help, but we couldn’t do anything until she died. We could only rescue her baby and God so kind nothing has happened to her. I’m the one breastfeeding her now.”

She said 11 people died from the attack and that they are now living in the bush under a tree, not knowing what the future holds for them.

“She was just sitting outside but entered her room. We don’t know where it came from but the artillery was thrown directly into the room. We don’t even know whether it is from Soldiers or Boko Haram, only God knows,” she narrated.

“We are now living under a tree just watching and thinking of our fate. We are tired of this life always living under threats. We lost our parents and many close relatives. What type of life is this?”

“We trekked to this place from the town just like animals. We were crying. We are in trouble and don’t even know what to do honestly. Even now that I’m talking to you someone helped us with the water to drink.”

Mallam Abubakar Yunus, a heartbroken father whose sons were among rice farmers slaughtered on Saturday by Boko Haram terrorists has shared how he lost two of his sons to the ungodly act.

Narrating the story, he said he was arrested along with his children and that they were slaughtered in his presence.

“People were working on their farms. At our site, the whole thing started at about 10.30 am when the Boko Haram fighters, armed with guns, came wearing army uniforms and surrounded us.

“They slaughtered my sons in my presence and one of them asked me who they were to me! I replied that they were my children. I am still in shock as to how people could be that heartless,” he said.

Another source said it was the productive population in the community that was decimated.

One of the aid workers recently executed by members of Boko Haram was killed just three days to his wedding, it has been revealed.

The victim identified as Abdur-Rahman Bulama pictured above was killed alongside 4 others by the terrorists.

On Wednesday, July 22, members of the sect released a video showing the execution of five aid workers they abducted in Borno state. 

Revealing the tragic news, Kano-based lawyer, Bulama Bukarti said Bulama was abducted three days to his wedding and killed by the terrorists yesterday.
