Goodluck Jonathan rose to the position of the Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the year 2009. In the year 2015, there was a rumour which was all over the media, stating that the only son of Goodluck Jonathan had lost his life after he battled some ill health.

Various social media platforms had rumored that he died in a hospital situated in London.

However, Goodluck Jonathan cleared the air in a press briefing stating that his son, Ariwera was not dead. He thereafter declared that his son was alive, hale and hearty.
