While many Nigerians are looking for the new re-designed Naira notes as a result of the scarcity, others are finding a way to deposit the old notes they stacked for a long time.

A video showing some men with sacks of old Naira notes has caught the attention of many and sent a wave of reactions from social media users.

The men who were confirmed to be from Gombe state arrived at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s office in the state with sacks of old N500 and N1000 notes.

This comes hours after President Buhari announced that the old N500 and N1000 notes have ceased to be legal tenders.

Also recall the Central Bank of Nigeria had also giving deadline for receiving the old Naira notes and those who are yet to deposit the old notes will have to do that in the Central Bank rather than their respective Banks as it used to be.

This has become challenging to many Nigerians as long ques of Nigerian are seen daily in the Central Banks across the country trying to deposit the old notes.

Now the question still remains, why wait till now before depositing the old note event though the directive had already been given months ago by the CBN Governor?

We’ll allow you answer that question.
