She’s My Choice, we love each other, those were the words of an Alhaji who recently married a teenage girl young enough to be his great-granddaughter.
In Africa child marriage is rampant, it has become a norm even when the western world is continuously kicking against it.
These girls are often f0rced out of their will and married off to the highest bidders by their parents most times to gain favour from the rich husband who is usually far older than the victims.
According to reports the said marriage happened in Kano, one of the mega states in the Northern part of Nigeria.
In the video which you will be watching below, the young innocent girl is seen seated next to the older man while her parents and we’ll wishers take pictures and laugh in celebration.

Recall the tragic death of 12-year-old Whitney Adeniran, who died during the inter-house sports day of her school on Thursday, February 9.
The distraught mum said she was at the event to watch her daughter participate, but became worried when she didn’t see her daughter during the match past as well as other sporting events. Mrs. Adeniran said she decided to go where the students were all kept to check on her child, and when she got there, she was told by a male student that a certain Whitney fainted and had been rushed to the hospital.
The management of Chrisland schools on Sunday, February 12, claimed that the student suddenly slumped and died during the school’s inter-house sports activities at Agege Stadium, Lagos State.
They explained that about two weeks prior, Whitney had complained of ill health and chose not to participate in the school’s march-past.
“However, on discretion, we respected her decision to err on the side of caution, because, on January 20, 2023, it is in our records that she had complained about not-too-buoyant health and we immediately contacted her parents.
