Delta State Father Allegedly Kills His Own Son for Eating Too Much
The Adeje community in Delta State is grieving. A young child is dead. The person accused of taking the child’s life is his own father.
According to local sources, the incident happened recently and has left many residents angry and confused. Neighbors who spoke with Toktok9ja Media said they could not believe what they heard. A father killing his own child is not something anyone expects.
Eyewitnesses reported that after community members caught the suspect, he allegedly told them why he did it. He said the child was always eating too much. That reason, according to the father, was enough.

The mother of the child also spoke up. She gave her own account of what happened, though details of her statement have not been fully released. What is known is that the community has since handed the suspect over to the authorities.
Residents in Adeje have been gathering in small groups, talking about the incident. Many are angry. Some are in tears. One elder who asked not to be named said he has lived in the community for over forty years and has never seen anything like this.

On social media, people have been reacting sharply. Commentators have pointed out that the father himself was once a child who likely ate plenty. To take a child’s life over eating too much, many said, makes no sense. Some called the excuse flimsy. Others said it was simply evil.
The case raises questions about what might have been going on inside that home before the incident. Was there a history of anger or mistreatment? Did the mother see any warning signs? Those questions remain unanswered for now.

Local police have not released an official statement on the matter. But sources say an investigation has begun. The father is reportedly in custody.

For the Adeje community, the pain will last much longer than the news cycle. A child is gone. And the person who should have protected him is the one being blamed for his death.
