Eid-el-Kabir: “Let Us Pray That Bandits and Terrorists Will Have a Rethink and Abandon Their Evil Ways” — Tinubu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked Nigerians to include bandits and terrorists in their prayers this Eid-el-Kabir. He wants citizens to pray that these criminals think twice about what they are doing and leave their wrong paths behind.
The President made this known in his Sallah message released on Tuesday. He congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebration. He described the festival as a reminder of faith, obedience, and the readiness to give up something for a bigger purpose.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, selflessness, unity, and compassion. He stressed that the values shown by Prophet Ibrahim are still important today, especially as the country works on rebuilding itself.
He said these qualities are not just for the celebration but should guide how citizens treat one another going forward.

Speaking on the security situation, the President admitted that attacks by terrorists and bandits have not stopped completely. He said this is happening even though security agencies are doing their best.
He mentioned that recent efforts have led to the death of a wanted ISIS leader. But he did not hide the fact that some communities are still being attacked.
“I assure you,” Tinubu said, “you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil.”
He then made his appeal. He asked Nigerians to pray during the Sallah celebration that those who commit crimes will have a change of heart. He added that if they refuse to change, they should face the full punishment that the law provides.
The President also talked about the economy. He said the changes his administration introduced over the last three years are now starting to show good results.
He used a simple picture to explain where Nigeria is heading.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over,” he said, “and the light is here.”

He went on to say that Nigeria is becoming a place where investors want to put their money. According to him, this will help the economy grow and create jobs for citizens.

Tinubu ended his message by wishing all Nigerians a peaceful and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
As families across the country gather to pray and share meals, the President’s words have left many thinking about the twin challenges of security and the economy – and what role prayer and sacrifice can play in solving them.
