Elon Musk, the new boss of Twitter, has made a surprising announcement. The feature that lets you block someone on Twitter won’t work anymore, except for private messages. This is causing a big debate among Twitter users.
Blocking is a tool that helps you keep unwanted people away from your posts and profile. It’s like a virtual door to keep out bullies, spammers, and people you don’t want bothering you. But now, Musk wants to change this.

He tweeted, “Block is going to be deleted as a feature, except for DMs.” DMs are Direct Messages, the private chats on Twitter. So, you’ll still be able to block people there.
Some people are not happy about this change. They say that blocking is really important and that apps need it to be allowed on app stores like Apple’s App Store and Google Play. They think Musk can’t just get rid of it.
The good news is that even though you won’t be able to block people from your public stuff, like posts and profiles, you can still lock them out of your private messages.
Musk has been making a lot of changes to Twitter since he took charge. He even limited how many tweets you can read in a day, which made some people look for other places to talk online.
He also changed the Twitter bird logo to an ‘X’, maybe to show that he’s making big changes. So, whether you like it or not, Elon Musk is turning Twitter into something new and different.
