After Emotional Letter from Unemployed Graduate, Senator Natasha Asks Him to Send His CV.
A story currently trending across Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media platforms centers on a heart-wrenching appeal made to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan by a graduate from her constituency.
The young man, identified as Siyaka Abdullazeez, reached out publicly, seeking the senator’s help in securing employment. While Toktok9ja Media reports that these claims have not been individually verified, the post has gone viral, drawing attention to the desperate situation of many educated Nigerians facing unemployment.
In his emotional letter shared on Facebook, Abdullazeez detailed his history with the senator. He explained that he was not a stranger but a supporter who had stood by her from her days in the SDP, serving as a ward executive and a polling unit agent in 2019. He continued his support when she moved to the PDP and won the 2023 senatorial election.
The graduate’s plea was not just about politics; it was a story of severe hardship. Abdullazeez is a graduate of Biochemistry from Bayero University Kano with a good academic record. However, he has struggled for years to find stable employment.
He wrote: “Unfortunately, despite my education, I have continued to struggle upon struggle to find an opportunity that will allow me to become self-reliant and support my family.”
The situation took a more painful turn in 2022 during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program when he was attacked and kidnapped. While he survived, he has been unable to recover his footing.
“During my NYSC program in 2022, I was attacked by kidnappers and by the special grace of God, I survived. After a short period of recovery, I returned to my feet and continued to pursue my dreams,” he recounted.
Abdullazeez stated that he had previously attempted to reach out to the senator through her Personal Assistant, Bashir Haroon, and other aides during various empowerment programs but did not receive a positive response. He noted that the PA is “surely aware of the situation.”

His decision to make the appeal public, he said, was not to cause embarrassment but because he had exhausted other options.
He clarified that he is not requesting anything extravagant. He even offered to accept a Keke Napep (tricycle) empowerment scheme to support his small family while keeping his degree certificate aside.
He wrote: “Even if it is Keke Napep empowerment, I will graciously accept it while I will keep my certificate in one corner in my room to go out and hustle for my little family.”
Abdullazeez’s appeal is deeply personal. He mentioned that his mother worked tirelessly to put him through university but passed away before she could see the benefits of her labor.
Following the viral spread of the post, Senator Natasha responded. According to sources confirming the exchange, her reaction was swift: “Send your CV.”

This direct, two-word response indicates that the senator is taking the plea seriously and has opened a channel for direct communication regarding the job application.
This intervention aligns with the senator’s history of tackling youth unemployment in Kogi Central. Reports indicate that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has a record of facilitating federal employment for constituents, including placements at agencies like FERMA and NAFDAC, as well as private sector opportunities . She has also previously rolled out large-scale empowerment programs, giving out tricycles, sewing machines, and business registration support to thousands of constituents .
