After Amaechi Said He Doesn’t Drink Alcohol In An Interview On AIT Yesterday, See How What Wike Reacted.
Certainly, we can say that when someone becomes a leader, he or she have automatically become a role model to all his or her followers, including the mad person in the street or in the community.
Funny as that may seem many people tend to look up to you either by emulating your ways of life.
We can also say from the teaching of Jesus regarding salt decreasing its taste, as it could be ascribed to leaders as well. It says, ” If the salt lost its taste, and it becomes tasteless, then it end have been completed, it becomes useless and can be only thrown away”.
You may recall that the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike Recently condemned the government over the commissioning of the Eastern Narrow Guage Rail line including others by the Transportation Minister, asserting that all the executing rail projects in the nation are politically inclined.
Yesterday, the Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi responded in an interview with AIT, to governor Wike’s claim that the ongoing rail projects in the nation are politically executed.
The Minister begin responding to the question by asserting that, he was aware even before he served as governor that governors don’t talk thoughtlessly.
“I was taught that governors talk with evidence, facts, and statistical figures. That when put up an expression, millions of Nigerians will have interest in that. I am not garrulous in that aspect, I do not get drunk before I talk, I speak brilliantly knowing fully well that when I talk it matters. I don’t drink alcohol, for that reason I do not talk out of my sense.” He Said
Nyesom Wike reacting to what the Transportation minister, said at an occasion in Aluu.
” I was watching ” Kakaaki” this morning and a man they said he is a Minister said he doesn’t drink. Did anybody ask him? If he does not drink and he behaves like this if he now drinks how will he now behave?“
” You do not drink, but you to take holy communion that has the content of alcohol in it”, Nyesom Wike asks
Perhaps, It is good for a leader to think about his or her choice of words before talking.
