Apostle Selman Donates ₦200 Million, Food Supplies To Plateau Attack Victims.

Apostle Joshua Selman, the founder of Koinonia Global, paid a visit to Plateau State on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, where he handed over relief materials and cash worth over ₦200 million to support families affected by the recent terrorist attacks in the area.

The donation came during a condolence meeting with Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Old Government House in Jos. According to church officials, the package includes ₦100 million in direct financial aid for grieving households, as well as relief items valued at another ₦100 million.

Among the supplies delivered were roughly 3,000 bags of rice, cooking oil, blankets, mattresses, clothes, and other basic household necessities. The goal, Selman explained, is to help displaced and hurting families get back on their feet while they continue to mourn their losses.

During the visit, Apostle Selman made it clear that no amount of money or food can make up for the lives that were taken. But he added that the gesture is meant to show solidarity, offer comfort, and remind the people of Plateau that they are not alone in this painful moment.

“We cannot bring back the dead, but we can help the living carry their burden,” Selman was quoted as saying during the brief ceremony.

Governor Mutfwang, who received the items alongside representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), noted that the distribution process will be handled jointly by the state government and CAN. He also stressed that the support is not limited to Christians alone. According to the governor, every victim of the attacks—regardless of their religious background—will benefit from the aid.

“This is a moment that calls for our shared humanity,” Mutfwang said. “We are grateful to Apostle Selman for remembering us, and we give our word that these items will get to the right people.”

The attacks, which took place in several communities across Plateau State earlier this month, left dozens dead and many more displaced. Local authorities are still working to restore calm in the affected areas. Meanwhile, calls have continued to grow for more private citizens and organisations to assist the government in responding to the emergency.

For now, the Koinonia Global founder’s intervention stands as one of the largest single donations recorded since the incident occurred. Officials say the cash component will be distributed directly to bereaved families, while the food and household supplies will be shared across temporary camps and host communities.

Residents who spoke with our reporter in Jos expressed a mix of sorrow and relief. “We have cried enough,” said one woman who lost her brother in the attacks. “This help gives us a little hope that someone out there cares.”

As of press time, the state government had not announced a specific date for the distribution, but officials assured that the process would begin before the end of the week.
