“Bring Back Our Children”: Protesters Push Into Ogun Government House as Nationwide Protest for Kidnapped School Children Grows (Video).

A wave of anger swept through Ogun State on Monday as protesters, mostly teachers and concerned parents, forced their way into the Government House, demanding that state leaders step in over the recent kidnapping of school children in Oyo and other states in Nigeria.

A video currently spreading across social media shows the moment the crowd pushed past security with little resistance, making their way inside the premises. Placards are seen everywhere. Some read: “Bring Back Our Children,” others call out governors by name, urging them to wake up.

According to reports gathered by Toktok9ja Media, the protest was organized by the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT). Their message was clear: the Ogun State Governor must reach out to his counterpart in Oyo and other states where students have been taken from their schools. They want a united response from all regional leaders, not just words.

“We are tired of waiting,” one protester said in the video, though her name was not given. “These are children. If governors can meet for politics, they can meet to save our kids.”

The demonstration began peacefully in the morning but took a more forceful turn by midday when the crowd entered the Government House. Security operatives present did not stop them, and no arrests have been reported at the time of this report.

What started as a local outcry in Oyo has now spread to other states. The hashtag #BringBackOurChildren is trending across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. Calls are going out for Nigerians everywhere to join the movement, regardless of where the kidnapping happened.

The NUT has not officially confirmed if more protests are planned for other state capitals this week. But online, the message is already traveling fast: people are fed up, and they want action before another child is taken.

This is a developing story. More updates to come.
