“Iran Will NEVER Have a Nuclear Weapon” Says Trump As US Bombs Kharg Island – Iran’s Military Crown Jewel.
US President Donald Trump has announced that American forces carried out a massive bombing raid on Iran’s strategic Kharg Island, claiming to have destroyed every military target on what he called Iran’s “crown jewel.”
In a statement released on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the operation was conducted at his direction and described it as one of the most powerful bombing raids in the history of the region .
“Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island,” Trump wrote.
The US president made it clear that while military sites were hit, he chose to spare the island’s oil infrastructure – for now.

“Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island,” he said .
Trump also issued a warning about the strategic waterway that handles about one-fifth of the world’s oil supplies. He said the decision to avoid oil targets could change quickly if shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted .
“However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision,” Trump wrote.

The president boasted about America’s military capabilities, saying he had rebuilt the armed forces into the most lethal force in the world.
“During my First Term, and currently, I rebuilt our Military into the Most Lethal, Powerful, and Effective Force, by far, anywhere in the World,” he said.

“There is Nothing They Can Do About It”
Trump’s message took a direct tone when addressing Iran’s ability to respond.
“Iran has NO ability to defend anything that we want to attack — There is nothing they can do about it!” he wrote .
He then made his strongest statement yet about Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, for that matter, the World!” Trump said .
The president called on Iran’s military and its allies to surrender.
“Iran’s Military, and all others involved with this Terrorist Regime, would be wise to lay down their arms, and save what’s left of their country, which isn’t much!” he wrote .
What Is Kharg Island?
Kharg Island sits off Iran’s southwest coast in the Persian Gulf and serves as the country’s main oil export terminal. Roughly 90 to 95 percent of Iran’s crude exports pass through this facility, making it a vital part of the Iranian economy .
Before the pandemic, the island handled about 1.7 million barrels of oil per day. It remains a key source of government revenue and a strategic asset for Tehran .
Iran Fires Back
Iran did not take the attack quietly. A spokesperson from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned that any attack on Iranian oil or energy assets would lead to retaliation against US facilities across the region .
“Any attack on Iran’s oil, economic or energy assets would lead to the destruction of all corresponding US facilities in the region,” the spokesperson said, according to Iranian state media .
Despite Trump’s claim of total destruction, Iran said the strikes caused no damage to oil facilities on the island. An Iranian official quoted by state TV said oil exports from Kharg Island were continuing as normal .
According to Iranian reports, US airstrikes targeted air defenses, a naval base, and airport facilities. More than 15 explosions were reported, and thick smoke rose from the island, but the oil infrastructure remained intact .
The strikes on Kharg Island are part of a broader US military operation called Operation Epic Fury. US Central Command said B-2 stealth bombers took part in the mission, which aims to “eliminate threats” posed by Iran and prevent the country from rebuilding its military capabilities .
The operation comes as the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran enters its third week. What started on February 28 with joint US and Israeli attacks has grown into a regional war with casualties on multiple sides.

The war has taken a heavy toll. Iran’s health ministry reports that more than 1,200 people have been killed by US and Israeli strikes, though these figures cannot be independently verified .
The UN refugee agency estimates that up to 3.2 million people have been displaced inside Iran since the fighting began .
The US military has lost 13 personnel during the conflict, including six crew members aboard a refueling aircraft that crashed in Iraq .
Beyond Iran, the war has spread to Lebanon, where Israeli strikes have killed at least 773 people, according to Lebanese authorities. Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed militant group, has been drawn into the fighting .
The conflict has sent shockwaves through the global economy. Oil prices have surged more than 40 percent since the war began, with Brent crude staying above $100 a barrel .
Iran has choked off traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to strike oil tankers in the waterway that normally carries 20 percent of the world’s fossil energy supplies .
Several Gulf countries have been drawn into the conflict. Qatar said it intercepted missiles targeting the country. Saudi Arabia reported intercepting dozens of drones. The US embassy in Baghdad was struck by a drone, the second such attack during the war .
Trump said the US Navy would begin escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz “very soon” and called on other nations to help secure the vital shipping lane .
“Many countries… will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe,” he posted, naming China, France, Japan, South Korea and Britain as countries he hoped would join the effort .
What Comes Next
Speaking to reporters, Trump was asked how long the conflict might last.
“It’ll be as long as it’s necessary. I can’t tell you that. I mean, I have my own idea, but what good does it do? They’ve been decimated. Their country’s in bad shape. The whole thing is collapsing,” he said .
But not everyone in Trump’s circle agrees with continuing the war. David Sacks, the president’s czar for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency, publicly expressed concerns about the conflict and suggested it was time to find a way out.
“We should try to find the off-ramp,” Sacks said on a podcast. “This is a good time to declare victory and get out” .
He also warned about the potential for further escalation, suggesting that Israel might consider extreme measures if the war drags on.
Trump, however, showed no signs of backing down. When asked about a possible deal with Iran, he said the terms Tehran was offering were “not good enough yet” .
As for Kharg Island, Trump left the door open for more action.
“We may hit it a few more times just for fun,” he told NBC News .
