OAP Mayowa Demands ₦100 Million from Ex Over Alleged Defamatory Claims.
A media personality, Mayowa Lambe, has taken legal steps against her former partner, Roby Ekpo, over statements she says have damaged her reputation.
According to a cease and desist notice she reportedly issued, Mayowa is asking Roby to stop making certain claims about her, take down any false content already circulating, and issue a public apology. She is also demanding ₦100 million in compensation.
This dispute started after Roby appeared in a live interview where he was seen crying. In that interview, he spoke about his relationship with Mayowa, saying she used him and left after ten years. His words quickly spread online and got people talking.

But Mayowa has now come out to say that a good chunk of what Roby said is not true. In her statement, she denied that she was ever married to him. She said any claims suggesting otherwise are false. She also added that she has evidence to back up her side of the story, though she did not share what that evidence is.
Her legal notice gives Roby 48 hours to comply with her demands. If he does not, she says she will move forward with legal action without sending any further warnings.
The whole situation has split opinions online. Some people believe Mayowa and think Roby is just trying to get attention. Others side with Roby, saying ten years is a long time for someone to lie about a relationship.

One social media user wrote: “If she was never married to him, why is she this angry? A simple denial would have been enough. ₦100 million says something else is going on.”
Another person said: “Roby went on live TV crying. That is not how someone with real evidence behaves. Mayowa is right to defend herself.”
Neither party has released an official statement beyond what has already circulated online. Roby has not responded publicly to the legal notice as of the time of this report.

For now, the ball is in Roby’s court. He has 48 hours to decide whether to apologise and pay up, or let the matter go to court. Either way, this story is far from over.
