OMG!!! Armed Robbers kill POS Operator After Collecting Money, Phones, Other Valuables.
In a tragic twist, some suspected armed robbers shot dead a young Point of Sales operator in Benin City, Edo State.
The tragic incident occurred on Friday, December 4 at Godwin Abbey Way, off Sapele road in Benin city.
It was gathered that the armed men stormed the centre at exactly 12:50pm and went straight to the young girl said to be in her early twenties, who was operating the POS shop.
According to reports, the robbers collected her mobile phones, undisclosed amount of money and other personal items and still shot her dead though she did all they asked her to do.
The daredevil robbers later zoomed off towards the Sapele road end of Benin city.
Some sympathisers at the scene described the deceased as a young promising girl who was into POS business to make ends meet.
Recall also an earlier report of how two brothers were arrested by the police in Anambra state for armed robbery.
The brothers are identified as Chigozie Simon 21, and Onyeka Simon, 22.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed on September 23, said the suspects who are brothers from the same parents as well as undergraduates at Paul University and UNN, allegedly entered a jewelry shop at Tempsite Awka, tied the sales girl and covered her mouth with cellotape, threatened to stab her in the neck if she screamed and thereafter carted away 33 wristwatches,14 necklaces valued over three hundred thousand naira (#300,000), and a cash sum of thirty-seven thousand Naira(N37,000).
