Panic As Armed Robbers In Osun State Threaten To Rob A Community If They Refuse to Pay Them N20 Million.

People living in Olopa Estate, Ofatedo Area, Egbedore local government of Osun State are now in a state of tension after receiving a letter from a suspected armed robbery mob.

In the handwritten note, which was penned down in both Yoruba and English languages, the armed robbers asked a total of N20 million from the community to prevent a probable armed robbery operation in the area.

The contents of the letter read, “Notice, this is to inform you that, we, thieves are coming to rob every house in your community or you should contribute the sum of N20 million and keep it with your community Chairman for us to pick up when we come.

“We are coming with full force and we will kill any of your securities that intend to disturb us.”

Also, security personnel in Osun State reported that they were already investigating the situation.

In a message sent to journalists by  the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Osun Command,Yemisi Opalola, the command promised the community not to have any worries as the police were totally prepared to handle the possible threat.

PRO Yemisi also said that Olawale Olokode, the Commissioner of Police,had urged residents to report any weird movement in their communities to the nearest police formation or access the Osun Police Control Room numbers via 08039537995 and 08123823981.

Since the present administration is so lenient to bandit’s and herdsmen in the North,the Southern robbers are now demanding for their own entitlement.
