What an alarming incidence! The Kano State Police Command said its personnel have nabbed five suspects for sodomizing a 20-year-old boy. This recent incident and news were made available to the public through DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa,  the Police Public Relations Officer, Kano State Command.

He said, On 15/07/2021 at about 1700 hours, a complaint was received from a woman in Mandawari Quarters, Gwale LGA, Kano State that her nephew, one Tajuddeen Hashim, ‘m’, 20 years old of same address complained of stomach pain.

On receipt of the report, the victim was rushed to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, Kano where he was treated and discharged, thereby, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a team of Policemen to arrest the culprits within 48 hours.

According to him, the team immediately swung into action and arrested all five suspects within 24 hours.

He gave the names of the suspects as Ahmed Inuwa, Nasiru Ishyaku Moh’d, Lawan Uba, Auwalu Uba, and Rabiu Sharu, who during preliminary investigation confessed to have deceived and lured the victim to various places and had anal s3x with him on several occasions.

One of the suspects, named Rabiu Sharu, ‘m’, 33 years old of Kabara Quarters Kano, further confessed that he was the first person to have lured the teenager and had an Anal S3x with him”, the PPRO disclosed.

Kiyawa said the discreet investigation was in progress and that all the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

In another incident, an angry 28-year-old man identified as Oluwatosin Adegoke has razed down the God of Truth Covenant Evangelical Church located at Akinbolade Street, off Arobaba Street, Idimu area of Lagos State.

It was reported that Adegoke burnt down the place of worship after he got tired of the church’s purported deceit and alleged fake prophecies by the owner of the church.

The culprit, who had been a member of the church for several years, alleged that the owner of the church, a prophetess was fake as prophecies issued to him had been unfulfilled and his condition still worsened.

Adegoke was said to have set the church ablaze with a substance suspected to be premium motor spirit (PMS) after he ordered the prophetess to close the church and she ignored him.

His deliberate action which came as a surprise to others led to the destruction of all the properties inside the church including musical equipment, public address system, and chairs.
