Angry Mother Drags 13-Year-Old Daughter Out of Nightclub in Viral Video.
A video currently making the rounds on social media has captured the moment an angry mother stormed a nightclub and physically dragged her 13-year-old daughter out of the establishment. The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the woman pulling the teenager by her hair and beating her as she led her out of the club.
The name of the club and its location in Nigeria have not yet been confirmed at the time of this report. However, the incident has already generated intense reactions across various social media platforms, with Nigerians divided over whether the mother’s actions were justified or excessive.
In the trending video, the visibly upset mother can be seen dragging the young girl out of the club while hitting her repeatedly. The teenager appears helpless as her mother pulls her along, with onlookers watching the scene unfold without intervening.
The incident raises serious questions about how a 13-year-old managed to gain entry into a nightclub in the first place. Under Nigerian law, anyone under the age of 18 is considered a child, and nightclubs are expected to enforce age restrictions to prevent minors from entering such establishments.

The Lagos State Safety Commission has previously warned nightclub operators about allowing underage persons into their establishments, describing it as a violation of the law. The Commission has even gone as far as sealing clubs that flout these regulations .
According to the Child’s Rights Act 2003, which defines a child as anyone under 18 years old, nightclubs are expected to enforce strict age restrictions at their entrances. Yet, in this case, a 13-year-old was reportedly able to walk in without any questions asked.
The video has drawn a flood of comments from Nigerians with opposing views on the matter.
Many social media users have criticised the mother for publicly beating her daughter, arguing that such harsh treatment could cause lasting emotional trauma. They believe the teenager should have been taken home quietly and given counselling rather than being subjected to public humiliation.
Some commenters pointed out that the girl is still a child and needs guidance, not physical punishment. They argue that the mother’s approach could push the teenager further away rather than correct her behaviour.

On the other side of the debate, many have commended the mother for taking a firm stand. They argue that Nigerian parents are losing control over their children and that this mother’s actions show she is determined to prevent her daughter from repeating such behaviour.
Supporters of the mother’s approach point to the dangers of nightclubs, including drug use and other inappropriate activities, which make such places unsuitable for minors. They believe her tough love, however harsh it appears, might save the teenager from more serious trouble down the road.
The incident highlights the difficult position many Nigerian parents find themselves in when dealing with wayward teenagers. While the law is clear about the rights of children, including protection from physical punishment, many parents feel they must take strong action to prevent their children from going down the wrong path.
At the heart of this matter lies a question that has divided Nigerians: Was the mother right to handle the situation the way she did, or should she have taken a different approach?
What do you think? Should parents use such public displays of discipline to make a point, or does this approach do more harm than good? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
