Danielle Diana Dubem, the eldest daughter of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie and entrepreneur May Edochie, has achieved a major career breakthrough. In June 2026, she was selected from thousands of applicants across Sub-Saharan Africa to join the inaugural Meta AI Creator Circle in Nigeria .

The Meta AI Creator Circle is a new initiative designed to bring together top content creators who are using artificial intelligence tools to enhance their creative work. Being chosen for this exclusive programme places Danielle among a select group of digital creators at the forefront of AI-powered content creation in the country.

Operating under her social handle @d3forareason, Danielle has deliberately built her own brand identity separate from her father’s Nollywood fame . She focuses on high-intellectual and lifestyle content that showcases her daily experiences, including cooking, fashion, and university life .

Her content creation journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. Encouraged by the rise of online content, she started documenting her life because she was bored and wanted to inspire other people.

She explained her philosophy in a recent interview: “What inspired me to start creating content is the fact that I believe you can be who you are. You don’t need to be rich or have it all. You only need to be interesting and desire to connect to people.”

Danielle pursued a degree in Information Science and Media Studies at Pan-Atlantic University in Lagos, focusing her skills on filmmaking, creative directing, and video editing . She graduated in July 2025, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another .

Her mother, May Edochie, hosted a private dinner to celebrate her academic achievement ahead of the school’s official convocation. At the dinner, Danielle was reportedly presented with three awards in recognition of her academic excellence and contributions .

May proudly documented the event online, saying: “Graduation dinner was a success. My girl got 3 awards. Super proud of her. To God be all the glory.”

Danielle has been open about her use of AI tools in her creative process. She has described Meta AI as her “best friend” on Facebook, explaining that she relies on it for help with captions, ideas, and navigating the platform.

“Anytime I need help, I just chat with Meta AI. It is actually my best friend on Facebook, because I really don’t know how to use the app without its help. If I need help with captions or help with ideas, I simply ask, and it makes it simple for me,” she explained .

Her selection for the Meta AI Creator Circle reflects her growing influence and her willingness to embrace new technologies in content creation.

Danielle maintains a very close relationship with her mother, May Edochie, and has frequently stepped in to support her at major public events . She actively collaborates with her mother’s business ventures, notably promoting QM Beauty Cosmetics.

Following a highly publicised marital rift between her parents, Danielle made headlines for reportedly distancing herself from the “Edochie” identity online. However, her father, Yul Edochie, has spoken about their relationship, saying they remain close .

In a recent interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Yul Edochie said: “We are very close. She is just 21, I don’t expect her to understand me. When I was 21, I didn’t understand my father. There will be a tilt towards her mother; it is a normal thing.”

Danielle has shared advice for other young creators, urging them to be their own number one supporters and not wait for validation from others.

“I will say you have to be your number one supporter. You cannot wait for other people to clap for you before you clap for yourself. Even if it looks like what you’re doing isn’t making sense, it does,” she explained.

She also advises creators to integrate their personality into their content, making it more relatable and valuable to audiences . She predicts a shift towards more authentic content creation in Nigeria, encouraging creators to focus on their journey rather than following trends blindly.
